Romans 14 speaks of certain subjects that Christ had spoken of and which are therefore important, but he is happy, even if his successors do not understand what he said about them. One cannot agree on these things because no sin is done in one way or another. These are disagreements on which someone does not understand the freedom that Christ has given us. This issue can give rise to very dark discussions; because people talk about different things when they talk about “discrepancies” in the Bible. In fact, there are at least four different ways, as the Bible is accused of sharing disagreements! Now that we`ve looked at some of the causes of disagreement, we turn to the. In all the reasons for discrepancies that we have examined so far, we can still argue among ourselves to better understand the true meaning of Scripture. But if people trust their feelings and not the Scriptures, there can be no unity. Keywords: Biblical controversies, disagreements in the Bible, the Bible is true, why Christians 2. Christians often take what is not clear from the Bible and convince themselves that they clearly understand its meaning.
But Scripture itself recognizes that meaning is not always obvious. Peter explicitly says that there are things that are difficult to understand in Paul`s epistles (2 Peter 3:15-16). And in Romans 14, Paul says that there are disagreements with which, as a Church, we should learn to live with. If you`re like me, you don`t know anyone who loves conflict. We experience conflict when there is disagreement, misunderstanding or simply miscommunication. Meanwhile, we must refer to the Bible verses about conflicts! Some people think that the Bible has theological disagreements, because they observe how Christians disagree on theological issues – and use the Bible to support their attitude. But these discrepancies are not really due to clear theological differences in the Bible, but to these three reasons: in this context, we do not need to be discouraged. But there is also a remarkable convergence on the fundamental teachings of Scripture. Most Christians, for example, believe in redemption by grace. Most people believe in the trinity. Most believe in love and justice.
Most believe in the Second Coming of Christ. In the midst of diversity, we have a deep unity through the Holy Spirit. What do we see, then, with regard to the differences between brothers on the teachings of Christ? There are some things that we can`t argue about and that still have unity. However, there are a whole host of other teachings that we do not all need to understand at some point to please God and have unity among ourselves. Christ has given us instructions on how to live in unity, even if there are misunderstandings, doubts and disagreements. I said, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you; Let those of us who are mature think so, and if you think differently in something, God will reveal it to you too. We are sticking to what we have accomplished. And the seed, whose fruit is justice, is sown in peace by those who make peace. 14. After all, be all equal, compassionate, love one another, be compassionate and humble. Do not retort evil with evil or insult it.
On the contrary, reward evil with blessing, for this is what you are called to inherit a blessing. .. .
